Monthly meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm. Meetings are open to PCA members, and Porsche owners that are not yet members. Dinner and Beverages can be purchased.

2009 Parade Booking Dates

Registration is available during March 3-5, 2009.

PCA is thrilled with the response to our three day Parade Registration, but remember registration remains open until June 15th – so if you have not already done so – feel free to do it at any time.

All on line registrations made during March 3-5 are treated equally.

Options to register are:
a. Online Online Registration at:  www.pca.org
b. Download  Download form and send in on March 3, 2009 from  www.porscheparade2009.com form and send in on March 3, 2009.
c. Call Kathleen Lennon, Parade Registrar at 719-487-2842 or 719-330-125 and have paper forms mailed to you. Such requests can be made from February 14, 2009.

Season Opening Run

Chestermere Lake Landing Steak House Brunch Run

Join us for the 2009 inaugural season run on Sunday May 3.
We will meet at the Second Cup in Shawnessy, 130 - 296 Shawville Boulevard S.E. at 9:30AM.
Brunch is at Chestermere Landing @ 11:30AM. We have a 70km run through the country on paved roads to start things off.

If some people don't want to take the long way around Calgary to Chestermere, they can meet us at the restaurant.
Cost for brunch is $22.95 per person.

Montana Track (drive till you drop) weekend

Montana Track Weekend, Montana, U.S.
Drive down to Lewistown, MT, and spend a weekend on a great 4 km race track. Estimated track cost $65 USD. Lots of track time anticipated. Make your own motel reservations ahead of time.

Fritz 911T Project Update and WRR BBQ

Just about time for the next WRR event, BBQ and run to Fritz Peyerl's home in Turner Valley on May 16.
Everything is provided, BBQ ,drinks ( limited beer supply) and Riki's home made dessert.
The get together will start around 2PM, you are welcome to join a group for a bit of a run down to Turner Valley via PAVED back roads or just show up at Fritz's on your own.

For the run we will meet at Starbucks in Glenmore Landing at noon on Saturday, May16.

Spring Mountain Brunch Run

Join us for the traditional PCA WRR brunch run to the wonderful Rocky Mountains.
We will meet at the Crowfoot Center Starbucks (off the #1A west – Crowchild Trail - behind the Rona store) at 08:30AM for a 09:00AM departure.
The route will proceed westward on the #1A through and past Cochrane, cut through
the Stoney Reserve to the Hwy #1, continue on Hwy #1 westward, and then turn south
on #40 into Lake Louise for brunch at the Lake Lousie Inn at about 11:00 am.

Monthly Meeting and Charity Fundraiser

6:30 PM at Smiths Hanger Springbank Airport Hangar, Hangar #5 221 Avro Lane, Springbank Airport, Alberta.
In 2005 we filled a Cayenne, in 2006 filled a Cessna and in 2007 we filled a GMC Hot Rod.
In 2008 we filled the bucket on a construction wheel loader to match that which we loaded in the Cayenne. What will be next? Bill and Kerry will have another great idea.
Please bring food bank donation items to the meeting plus please bring an entrée, salad or dessert. This year we will provide drinks, hotdogs and hamburgers, condiments, etc.

Euro Show 2009



BMW Club of Saskatchewan is hosting the Euro Show 2009 in Regina, Saskatchewan on June 7th.
Registration for the event is $10 with a portion of proceeds going to a local charity organization (Hope's Home).

Pre-registration is encouraged and payment is accepted via cash (on the day of the show) or PayPal, and we can setup a collective payment scheme if a few members of a particular club (such as your PCA chapter) are interested in coming as a group.

However, a run is still planned for this date with the same meeting time and place. We will be meeting at Crowfoot shopping Center at 12PM and will start our drive at 12:30PM.

This is the fifth year for P2O in Oxford.
Last year we hosted 396 Porsches from 17 states and Canada. This year we are expecting upwards of 500 Porsches to adorn the quaint brick streets of uptown Oxford.

Banff Jaunt - (meet the Polar Region crew is Banff)

This is the second annual run between our local WRR Club and the members from Polar region
in Edmonton. We will be meeting for lunch at the Elbow Springs Golf Course
see www.elbowsprings.com for directions at 1:00 pm on Saturday September 5.

After lunch, we will drive to Banff via Cochrane and scenic Hwy #1A to Canmore and Banff.
There, we will form up on Banff Avenue and proceed to the Banff Springs Hotel where we will
park the cars in the inner courtyard. A reception will follow at 6:30, and dinner - with prizes
from Porsche club sponsors and supporters - will be at 7:30.

This event on September 13, at 10AM to 4PM is open to all types and classes of vehicles including classics, rods, muscle, specialty interest, exotic, sports, trucks etc.

This is a public show organized by people who simply love cars and enjoy sharing our mutual interest with others.
Members to donate $5.00 for each vehicle registered at the show ($10.00 at the door, space permitting), with the proceeds to be given to Calgary Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD).

WRR President's Mystery Tour

It's time once again for the 2009 WRR Mystery Tour also know as the marriage break-up event or the
where the heck are we run. On September 19 we will meet at Tim Horton's on the corner of Country Hills
Blvd. and Coventry Hills Blvd. N.W. at 9:30 am.

From here we will start our journey into the Alberta country side.
Bring a clipboard, pen, full tank of gas and a navigator you can get along with.

There are lots of questions and clues on the 80 km trip.

In remembrance of a dear Porsche club member Riki Peyerl,
we will take this leisurely early fall cruise from Calgary west to Kananaskis Country.
Through the Spray Lakes and Peter Lougheed Provincial Parks, over the world renowned Highwood Pass, and then on to Longview, Black Diamond, Turner Valley and back to Calgary, it is usually in excellent driving condition. And, it's only open during the summer months!

We will meet at 9:00AM at the Chapter’s Starbuck’s at Crowfoot Centre behind the RONA store.
