malcolm
When I swapped over the winter to summer wheels/tyres I noticed the front brake pads were rather worn. After receiving a package from my parts friends in Texas I tackled the project this afternoon. New pads installed and pressure bled with new fluid. Difference is immediate; much higher pedal engagement and effortless noise free deceleration. Relatively moderate project but not for everyone given consequences if no prior experience with brake operation. malcolm
The original pads were Pagid's which were replaced with the other OEM manufacturer, Textar. I cleaned and refitted the spring plate, bolt and sensors. If I had ordered new sensors they would have been fitted them as the originals were somewhat 'welded' to the old pads. The brake fluid is fresh Dot 4 which was flushed through the system with a Motive pressure bleeder. The rear brakes are next weekend Quote '21 Macan GTS PDK Miami Blue/Black, 7k kms '93 928 GTS 5 speed Polar Silver/Linen, 192k kms '88 928 S4 A/T Black/Ivory, 190k kms '09 Cayenne GTS Tiptronic Nordic Gold/Black, +336k kms '88 928 S4 A/T Red/Champagne, 110k miles (US car) Link to comment
