2001, 996 Cabriolet - Upgrades??

Well, it has been 4 weeks since I purchased my 2001, 996 Cab and I am still smiling. It is mechanically stock and runs like a top. I am still getting used to having the engine in the back and the trunk in the front but I think it is time to start to put some personal touches on the car.

What performance upgrades can/should be done.

I would like to get a little more sound from the engine without ruining the top down driving experience.

I am wondering what upgrades have been done by you guys? Intake? Air filter? Cat Bypass?

Has anyone seen/heard this exhaust mod done? I found it on a Rennlist forum. It is a version of the Fister D Sport Muffler. It is a pipe welded between the inlet and outlet pip on the stock muffler to create a partial bypass.

From what I have read, it give a nicer sound from the stock quiet exhaust.

my experience with bypass exhausts are very favourable with tested and proven healthy HP adds especially when coupled with modern cats although the engine is at the other end of the car.

cant you add a turbo? :)
