Rob996
What spark plugs have people tried in there 996, 3.4L engines? The dealer # 99-170-207-91 are $26 each. The NGK 7969 option are $7 each. Has anyone found a reason to buy the Porsche plugs over the aftermarket ones? I don't have a problem paying for Porsche parts if they are the best option but knowing that most OEM Branded plugs are made by one of the major brand plug manufacturers it does not make sense to pay for the Porsche logo. dragon
Can't help you there but I ordered spark plugs for the turbo from Rock Auto. $12.40/plug & it's the exact same Bosch plug with the same part number that from the dealership would have been $35.53 with the club discount. Pretty much a 3 for 1 deal. Quote Link to comment

9Elfer
I recently purchased replacement sparkplugs for my wife's 06 Boxster S. The OEM plugs are Bosch FGR-5-KQEO. I sourced them through Tunerworks for $11.88 each (talk to Rob and tell him you are with the Porsche Club). I will echo Yoon's price quote from the dealer. Marc Quote Link to comment
