Finally got the SC out of the garage today - WOOOO HOOOO.

A couple of pics from the drive.

Snow still in the Cypress Hills, yet the prairies are dry and brown (or at least those areas not subject to the current spring flooding).

Hello John

Kudo's to you for getting out yesterday. You beat most of us "in actions" if not in spirit! :o

Plan to take my 3.2 to Fritz's today to weld up a cracked sway bar mount. Forecast for Calgary is calling for +11C & Sunny  ! Plenty warm for me, as my P car has had heat for over a year now!!

I love the pic of your car by the Saskatchewan sign. (potential photo contest submittal?)

cheers!

Hi John:

Good to see you got the car out of the garage!

I took my Boxster out yesterday for its first time on the road this year. It was suppose to be a short drive but extended into 3 hours.

Paul and I managed to make it out on Saturday to TV to see Fritz. Got the two cars on the hoist for a quick oil change (me) and fuel pump (Paul). Happy to report that Dr. Fritz diagonosed my oil leak to a small 2" rubber hose from my transmission. Two quick pinches to the hose clamps and it seems that the problem has been solved.

Paul's fuel pump was, well lets just say if someone had a match it would have been bye bye Fritz. Poor guy was drenched in high octane fuel.

To top it all off as Paul and I left TV we had a Police escort all the way to Spruce Meadows, lets just say it was a leisurely drive home but great to be out in our P car's

Thanks again Fritz

I was able to get the family out in the Targa on Sunday as well! My 4 year old had his 1st ride in a Porsche , absolutely loved the engine at 6000 rpm, kept saying "do it again ,Daddy"

But my motorcycle is getting very jealous!

Thats awesome! I am looking forward to taking my little guy (13 months) out for his first outing in the Porsche. Never thought It would be so difficult putting a child seat in the back of a 964.

Crossing are fingers for this weekend.

Tried 3 different child seats in the back , none worked. Mitchell got the front seat and the wife got stuck in the back! So far one massage bill...possibility of a chiropractic bill as well.

I have logged over 12 hours on the install............4 different seats..............fabricated clipps..............got a decent fit..............yet still not happy with it. Maybe it would be easier to remove the front airbag instead.

Good to see that others are also getting the cobwebs blown off of the underside of our beasties.

After a couple hundred miles in the 911SC I even was able to get my 1968 Triumph GT6 out for a good run on Sunday. Both cars are seriously fun, but waaaaay different.

Tuesday did 500 miles in the SC as I had a conference in Red Deer. Very enjoyable even tho the roads were rather straight (well, except for the high speed curve as you exit Stoney Trail on to the #1 East bound, althoughI doubt it was designed as a high speed curve).

But now the snow and crap weather has returned. Guess its back to my house flooring project this weekend. *sigh*
