Porsche Club Drives - Enjoy Beautiful Alberta with Us!
We are incredibly fortunate to live in such a beautiful setting. Calgary, Kananaskis Country & Banff National Park are holiday destinations for people around the world and we are so lucky to have these destinations in our own backyard.
The Wild Rose Region Porsche Club drives typically depart Calgary and head into Kananaskis or Banff, but we'll also often travel into British Columbia, as well as south or east to the land of the wide open golden wheat fields of the prairies or the badlands around Drumheller.
When planning our driving tours, we like to spread out in all directions to add variety to the season's events. There is usually an activity of some sort including but not limited to nature viewpoints, winery tours, cheese tours, picnics, restaurant lunch, festivals, farmers markets and so much more. We'll often stop at a scenic spot for a photo op and to take a moment to stretch our legs and mingle mid-route. Some Calgary Porsche Club drives are short, about 1 or 2 hours whereas others are a full day excursion to the mountain parks or other Alberta destinations.
The driving season begins in late May and goes until late September. If the weather cooperates beyond that, we'll embark on last minute coffee runs or breakfast drives until the snow flies. (Some of our hardy bunch has even ventured out on a crisp wintery day! 🥶)
We plan events across all budget ranges. Simple, BYOF picnics to luxurious chalet brunches. We enjoy a little bit of everything to make sure everyone finds something that appeals to them. Do you have an idea for a driving tour? We are always open to suggestions and volunteers are always welcome (and much needed!)
