Event details

Wild Rose Region (WRR) of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) is holding the first High Performance Drivers Education (HPDE) of the 2024 season:  PCA WRR HPDE Powered by Riegel Tuning.  It is a full day track event session at Rocky Mountain Motorsport (RMM).

Registration is limited, in order to maximize the driving sessions.  Our May 27, 2023 event sold out for most run groups, so don't delay!

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: Save up to $95!  Register before March 23 to get the EBD rates.

In addition to lapping sessions for everyone, novice track participants will benefit from PCA’s HPDE Driver training. This will include a pre-requisite classroom training held prior to track day to maximize seat time, as well as on track training. You will be enrolled in the robust, PCA HPDE Program designed to help you learn and lap safely. Registration is limited for Novice and Beginners. You will be wait-listed, if our maximum is reached (register selecting the "Wait List Option".)

10 more participants needed to make this event happen!  Sign up now!

If we do not get 10 more sign ups by Thursday, April 25 the event will be cancelled.

It's a lot of fun and safe.   You will be placed in a run group based on your track experience.

I hope to see many members there.

Kevin, should I hold off on getting the safety inspection on my car since we don't know if this is happening or not?

Thank you!

Yes, hold off for now.  The PCA tech inspection form can't be any older than 30 days prior to a track day. You can download it from the registration page.  msreg.com/WRRHPDE-May2024

Would the club consider sending out an email reminder to all members about this event? It would be a shame to see it cancelled. I hope it happens, I’m super excited to participate this year.

Kevin, any news on this? Last we heard was that there was a deadline for signups last Sunday and if we didn't meet the minimum, refunds would be issued. Asking because If the event is not happening, I want to plan some other activity as its a Saturday. The earlier we have a decision, the better. Also there is the tech inspection that needs to be planned/scheduled.

Thank you!

Hey Kevin :)

I am bringing a Cayman GTS 3.4L N/A (2016). How about yourself?

Oh my! Excited to watch this one in its natural habitat :)

What has been your experience with it so far? In the future, I would like to have a 718 Spyder :)

It handles extremely well.  It's easy to catch when driving it hard, and it reacts very well to throttle steer.

I thought about the Spyder but the manual roof wasn't my thing.

That makes sense. I don’t know what is going to be exactly my next car but I believe the Cayman GTS I will keep for life.

How did you enjoy the event? I guess we didn’t get to chat much because we were in different groups.

I'm looking for a few more photos from this event for our newsletter. Would like to see some pics with members in them please.
