Nostrathomas Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 June 2025 update: Car was conditionally sold to US buyer, who just pulled out because of due to the 25% tariffs making it untenable. So now back on the market! Specs: 2003 Targa Lapis Blue over Savannah Beige Manual Transmission Originally a US car, now in Calgary. ~109,000 KMs (~68K miles) European M030 suspension Schnell muffler IMS/RMS was done at Alpine in 2023. While not concourse level, I would say it’s excellent driver-quality car, with strong mechanicals, excellent Euro suspension, no IMS/RMS worries, and a really beautiful color combo of Lapis Blue over Savannah Beige. The glass Targa roof works great, and makes for a wonderful driving experience not just for spirited drives, but also around town. Interestingly the Targa is actually a pretty rare form factor for the 996. Out of about 175,000 cars, only 5K were Targas (compared to 104K Coupes, 65K Cabs, 22K Turbos). There are actually more GT3s. I’m not saying it’s the rarest car out there or anything, but you’d be hard pressed to find another 996 Targa in town! Asking price is $43,500 CAD. Feel free to DM me for more details/history. CeddieB Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Same place I took photos of my Lapis Blue Boxster when I sold it in 2019! Great looking car, GLWTS. Quote
Nostrathomas Posted October 2, 2024 Author Posted October 2, 2024 Thanks, that's a great looking Boxster you had there. Lapis blue is quite a cool color (if a little finicky to keep clean). Quote 993 C2 996 Targa (former) 964 C2 (former) 987 Cayman (former)
Nostrathomas Posted October 2, 2024 Author Posted October 2, 2024 FYI, 996 Targa is going to be put away for winter at the end of the month. The asking price has been reduced, and I'm adding a couple of sunset shots in case it entices anyone before I do! Quote 993 C2 996 Targa (former) 964 C2 (former) 987 Cayman (former)
Nostrathomas Posted June 5 Author Posted June 5 Hey all, I conditionally sold this car to a US buyer in the fall, with a springtime pickup...but sadly with the 25% tariffs not looking to go away anytime soon, the prospective buyer is looking to unwind the deal. So if anyone is interested, it looks like the Targa is back on the market! Quote 993 C2 996 Targa (former) 964 C2 (former) 987 Cayman (former)
