dragon
Unfortunately I won't be able to go see him because of work. Anyone who goes, please take lots of photos! I know the Porsche purists probably have their weiner schnitzels in a bunch but personally I would love to have a RWB 911 & a Magnus Walker built 911. Quote Link to comment

KMR 968 Turbo
Went to see the car. Left somewhat disappointed. I've seen some RWB cars at Rennsport and they all looked pristine and awesome. This one was a mixed bag. First, it looks like they bought the cheapest 964 they could find. It's a cab and appears to have been in somewhat poor condition. The interior was rough and the top needed to be replaced. Then there was the paint job. I was told it was done by a friend of a friend....and it shows. It was obviously painted with the top up because when the top was down there was a 1 inch red line across the top of the window frame going from one side of the car to the other. In several places it was apparent that the body work before paint was not completed (rough finishes, etc). Heard a rumour that the owner is contemplating putting an LS1 into the car. To each their own but not something I would do to an RWB car. The part that amazes me is that Nakai would allow his product on this car. I believe in the beginning he would require only qualified shops to paint the cars and that he was more selective in his cliental. Talking with others there I was told he builds a car a week and is travelling all over the world. Perhaps it's gotten too big for him to be more hands on and he has to rely on his vendors to get good cars and quality body work. For his part, the kit fit nicely and the stance was good. Keith Adams
Yup you're right Eric. If he doesn't do something to improve the quality of the cars that are getting his name on them, he may as well just sell body kits. The owner of that car doesn't knows the first thing about Porsches at all, just going for a look he likes I suppose. It was an interesting mix of characters there, for sure. Quote Link to comment
j09genii
It seemed like it was done for the sake of just getting it done and having bragging rights for having the first RWB in Calgary and first RWB 964Cab. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment

Rumour is that it was a "friend of a friend" who painted it. Looks like they painted it with the top on and missed a strip! Quote Link to comment
