ErikA
Pretty cool to see the return of Alfa, if only to perennial midpack runners Sauber. Maybe this will result in a cash injection and some additional competitiveness, given the Ferrari power in the back. Also, wish they could have disguised the "halo" device more successfully, as other teams have done: https://jalopnik.com/alfa-romeos-glorious-return-to-formula-one-is-here-1823153524 Quote Erik 2001 911 Turbo X50 1980 911SC - Black, 3.2 litre short stroke SOLD! 2002 BMW M3 - Carbon Black over Cinnamon Link to comment

I would have preferred a windshield, but maybe they couldn’t make one that would survive a rollover. I would have preferred a windshield, but maybe they couldn’t make one that would survive a rollover. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk If I recall correctly, they tested a windshield solution on a Ferrari and Vettel complained about the optical distortion giving him motion sickness after a few quick laps. Then again, IndyCar is going to evaluate the potential of adding a windhsield this season. Perci
I never had that problem on my motorcycle. But since vision is one of the differentiators between good and great drivers, I defer to Vettel.[emoji3] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote Perci PCA DE Instructor 2014 Cayman S 2000 Boxster S 2000 Carrera 2010 Panamera 4S 1989 928GT Link to comment
al k
Not a big fan of the halo either, but the tech involved - 7kg of sculpted titanium able to withstand 12 tonnes of impact making it a potential lifesaver outweighs the aesthetics - may have saved Bianchi back in 2014...
