any diy folks have experience with the transmission service on a Cayenne?

if so, what 'tool' did you use to transfer the new oil into the pan? TIA

thx Keith, that would perhaps work but painfully slow.

The transmission takes ~9L of oil so was looking at the electric pump from PA or I could source a transfer pump that uses air and hook it to my compressor.

That looks like an exercise in frustration. I'm guessing there's no fill plug because magical "lifetime" oil?

in all seriousness the Porsche Cayenne gearbox is serviceable and has a factory recommended change interval at 250k kms; perhaps thats a lifetime for most but my GTS is running perfectly and intend to keep it that way :)

I want to be in the factory when they do the first fills on all fluids; probably nothing like how its done in the real world.

follow up: I bought the battery powered oil transfer pump from PA and tested on a large olive oil container to more manageable kitchen size bottles..........works perfect.

Confidence is high the tranny op. will be successful :)

I need to see pictures of the test. And the disapproving scowl from the spouse.

actually my wife was the one to suggest the test as the bigger can of EVOO is to big and heavy for her to pour from; brownie points :)

The best source for Aisin Type IV fluid is from Toyota (my Volvo uses it as well). Much cheaper from them.

I researched all the typical sources for the transmission oil including amazon, German Auto parts and Pelican etc etc..........the Toyota dealership is by far the cheapest. Mobil 3309 is apparently an equivalent.

I bought 12L of oil, a new transmission filter and pan gasket. Add the electric pump and a few hours of my time the transmission service was complete for less than $200.
