herve_g
Hi, I'm going to participate to my first HPDE this month, and of course this is a bit scary. My insurance doesn't cover HPDEs, so I've looked around at different insurance options but they all seem pretty expensive. What's your opinion on track day insurance, for a newbie who will (most likely) go slow? Is the insurance a must? Quote Link to comment
mrdunlop944
I’m not one to really chime in here, but I’d say NO need for extra insurance. If you drive to your comfort and experience level you will be fine. Learn the course slowly and lap by lap push a bit harder and harder, confidence is a must, your car will thank you. malcolm
wasnt aware there was insurance available for on track events for drivers or cars. when I raced, the waiver you sign basically absolves the event owner and event coordinator from legalities other wise law suits would pop up all over the place.
