Today it was the official Car show for the Oregon region off PCA and they celebrated 50year 911.
they had 129 911 and two 912 at the show. The weather was perfect and the early 911 and 912 where sitting in the shade.
What a tread. I can tell you quite a variety of cars in all different conditions. My little 912 got quite some attention, generally speaking it was a great show.
Tomorrow we are leaving the North west and slowly work our self down towards Carmel. tomorrow evening we hope to get to Newport Oregon.

Today was a travel day, we left Stevenson WA at 10 am and just arrived in Coose Bay Oregon
Inland we had 85 degree and no wind. My temp gage still just came up to a quarter.
When we hit the coast the temp dropped to 65 degree and the fog rolled in. Still it was a great drive.
The car performed flawless, checked my oil and it might be down a 1/4 " nothing to worry about.
Tomorrow we will hit the redwoods and put in a lazy exploring day.

Oh I totally forgot to mention that my 912 won at the 50 year anniversary event, another price. Did not expect this, as there where quite a few interesting cars on display
But they figured, the 912 was actually, the starting point to get the911 sold in the USA and without the 912 the car sales of the 911might not took off as well.

Left Coose Bay around 9am and pointed the car south. Had to stop a few times to take in the country sides. The fog rolled in and climbing up into light house did not make sense as the fog was so thick that we could not see the shore line. Down the road we stopped at a wood carver and admired his talent. Some people have more talent than I have.
After purchasing a small item we rushed down towards the Redwoods and checked in into our Casino Hotel in Loreto CA
Temp. ranged from low 65 degr. as high as 90 degr.
Tomorrow we will spend a day driving through the redwoods area and will try to find a tree where we can drive the 912 through.
We are getting closer to Carmel,

it's Tuesday and we had a relaxing day exploring the Giant trees and some window shopping in Eureka.
Tomorrow we are heading towards Point Arena and hope the weather is good enough to spend some time on a beach.
Thursday, we might take Highway 128 to 101 and down to Davenport for lunch and than into Carmel

Left Loleto ( just south of Eurika) at 7am and drove down #101 to Legitt and turned of onto #1 coastal high way.
The next 22 Miles where the most incredible curves and hils. There was nit more than 3 car lenght of straiht road, the rest where hard corners. What a blast. Since we left that early, we had no motor home trafic. We stopped at a botanical garden and spend at least 2 hr admirering those flowers and plants. We are now in Point Arena at a quaint little B&B overlooking the little fishing harbour. Had some great sea food and a good glass of Wine.
Just checked the Mileage and we still have to cover 400 km to Carmel.
