kellym
Where is the closest performance driving class that I can take, any suggestions? I'd like to be able to drive my own car. I sure love driving my 911, especially getting the rear-end out around a corner, but it's generally difficult to find the cornering and braking limits safely around town. A performance class at a track would be ideal, but I don't know where to go. Maybe we'll have a track near Calgary one day, but until then...? Thanks, Kelly Quote 05 911 C2S (997.1) in black with PCCB Link to comment

kellym
I believe they have track days in Edmonton......http://www.castrolraceway.com/ Thanks, here's what I found on their site: "Many racing schools have expressed great interest in hosting events here at the Castrol Raceway road course and we look forward to offering this benefit to our supports and fans. However, at this time Castrol Raceway has determined to postpone the opportunity to host race schools until the construction of the road course is completed fully. We anticipate 2014 will offer many occasions to take part in a variety of race schools." Quote 05 911 C2S (997.1) in black with PCCB Link to comment
Perci
The Northern Alberta Sports Car Club (http://www.nascc.ab.ca) has already hosted a high performance driving school at Castrol, and probably will be annually. Track Junkies (http://www.trackjunkies.ca/instruction/) offers personalized instruction. Track Junkies is run by former Polar Region President Paul Conquest so he is a friend of the club. I would expect PCA Polar Region to offer a school in 2014. You'd have to talk to Eric about Wild Rose's plans. I would expect Castrol to attract many schools, just as Race City did. I plan to instruct there next year, if anybody asks me. Quote Perci PCA DE Instructor 2014 Cayman S 2000 Boxster S 2000 Carrera 2010 Panamera 4S 1989 928GT Link to comment
