The car is alive! I'm taking it to a fab guy today to have inconel headers made for the new turbos. It has the 3076 turbos on to make the journey.

Some pics of the final assembly before engine install...

Congrats on the build, what a beast :)

Was installing the wrist pins as scary as people say?

Did you/can you use a borescope to make sure they went in properly?

Wrist pins were really easy. I bought the stomski wrist pin installer..... Cylinder 2 and 5 were very difficult to get in though. I'm sure there's a special tool to take it from extremely hard to really easy but I didn't have it

I'm planning on adding a very similar wing. Which one is this...just curious?

Loc,

I have a bunch of carbon pieces. I'll put them all together and see how they look. They all get installed next week.

Extreme motors?

What brand is it and where did you order it from (and how much, can I ask)?

TOTALLY COOL project btw!

I think the brand is extreme motors. I got it on eBay. $1300ish? It looks perfect in person. Really nice wing, came with the wrench to install it.

I had a hiccup today. I went to pick the car up with the new headers and exhaust. We started the car and it sounded amazing. I ran it for 30 seconds or so inside and them pulled it outside. About 15 seconds later it started billowing smoke. A lot of smoke. A little searching later and it appears one of my new turbos is a dud. Not sure what I'll get for warranty, I think I'm just out the money. Ordered a new one today, I hope it arrives Tuesday, looks like another week of no cars & coffee for me :)

I'm planning on bringing the car by Shawnessey for the BBQ on Sunday. I won't be heading on the drive as I'm still breaking everything in. It's the last time anyone will see it black :)
